The entire certification process typically takes 4-6 weeks from the time your application is accepted. This includes document review, scheduling and conducting assessments, and making the certification decision.
ISCB certifications are valid for three years. To maintain certification, you must meet continuing professional development requirements and submit a recertification application before your certification expires.
Candidates who do not pass an assessment may retake it after a waiting period of 30 days. A maximum of three attempts is allowed within a one-year period. Additional fees apply for retaking assessments.
While ISCB does not require specific training before certification, candidates must meet certain education and experience requirements. Training may help you prepare for the assessments, but it does not guarantee certification success.
Per ISO 17024 standards, ISCB maintains strict separation between training and certification activities to ensure impartiality in the certification process.
You can verify certification status using our public registry on the "Verify Certificate" page. Enter the certificate ID or the certified professional's name to validate their certification status.
ISCB is committed to providing equal opportunity for all qualified individuals. Candidates with disabilities or special needs may request reasonable accommodations for the certification process.
To request accommodations:
Each request is evaluated individually to ensure appropriate accommodations while maintaining the integrity of the certification process. For more detailed information, please refer to the Certification Manual (MN-RH-002) which includes specific policies regarding accommodation procedures.
